
STATE WRESTLING UPDATE: After the second round of wrestlebacks, Morgan Schaaf, Madlyn Pistulka, and Sadie Keogh have each been eliminated. Allie Oligmueller earned a win to advance to the heartbreak round, where if she wins, she'll earn a state medal. Felycia Kerkman and Shae Jackson will wrestle at 12:30 in their respective semifinal matchups.

Day two of the 2025 NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships is set to begin in approximately ten minutes!


STATE WRESTLING UPDATE: The West Holt Lady Huskies sit in seventh as a team in Class B after day one with 25.0 points scored. Individually, Felycia Kerkman and Shae Jackson each went 2-0 on the evening to advance to the semifinals of their respective brackets! The rest of the Lady Huskies will have to work their way through the wrestlebacks to earn a medal. Tomorrows action will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the semifinals set to take place at 12:30 p.m., and the finals set to begin at 6:30 p.m.







It's almost time for the first session of the 2025 NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships! West Holt will have six wrestlers competing today. The first round is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.


CONGRATULATIONS to the West Holt boys wrestling team on a third-place finish at the NSAA Class D District 3 Invite! Huskies that qualified themselves for the 2025 State Wrestling Championships in Omaha next week are Keagan Mathis, Jamison Slaymaker, Grant Osborne, and Ian Shane. The NSAA has released Class C2 girls basketball Subdistricts! The Lady Huskies earned the number two seed in the Class C2-4 Subdistrict, and will play the Ord Chanticleers on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Crofton.

GNAC CHAMPS! After an intense fourth-quarter comeback, the West Holt Huskies earn a 57-56 win over the Bobcats to take home the 2025 GNAC Tournament championship!


Going into the fourth, the Huskies trail the Bobcats 46-34.



At the half, the Huskies lead the Bobcats 28-27!





After one, the Huskies trail Summerland 15-13 in the GNAC boys championship game.



Another congratulations is in order to the West Holt speech team, who took home third place in both the Varisty and Novice divisions at the West Holt Invite today!

Update from girls district wrestling: The Lady Huskies are district champions! Heading to state for the Huskies are: Allie Oligmueller, Felyica Kerkman, Shae Jackson, Sadie Keogh, Morgan Schaaf, and Madalyn Pistulka. Congratulations Lady Huskies!


ICYMI: It's a big day to be a Husky activities/athletics fan. Today, the Huskies will be competing at the West Holt Speech Invite, day two of district girls wrestling, and both of the GNAC basketball championship contests in Hartington! That'll do it! West Holt has defeated LCC 61-44 to advance to the GNAC semifinals. The Huskies will play on Friday, Feb. 7 against the winner of Elkhorn Valley and Harrington-Newcastle.





Huskies advance! With a final score of 56-25, the Lady Huskies advance in the 2025 GNAC tournament. They will play in the tournament semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 6 against the winner of Neligh-Oakdale and Hartington-Newcastle.
