Seven new Crofton Journalism students with four returning students will make up the class for the first semester.
During the fall they will be covering football, volleyball, girls golf, and cross country among other school activities. Additionally they are responsible for running the video board during volleyball games, creating social media posts, and writing news articles.
Junior Trevor Allen is one of the returning students; he is the football social media team leader. Trevor has four sisters Alex, Bri, Sammie, and Cassie who all graduated from Crofton High School. He is the son of Tim and Lisa Allen. What Trevor is looking forward to as a veteran in the class is helping new students improve their journalism skills and taking pictures at sporting events.
Junior Luke DeRoos is another returning journalism student, and he is on the volleyball social media team. Luke has five sisters Elizabeth, Alexis, Rebeca, Sophia, and Vanessa with one brother Zach. He is the son of Nick and Erin. During this first semester in journalism Luke is most looking forward to taking pictures “with his homies.”
Junior Macy Baker is also a returning journalism student who is the volleyball social media team leader. Macy has one brother, Bode, who is an 8th grader at Crofton Junior high. She is the daughter of Larry and Courtney Baker. Macy is most looking forward to making social media posts about the volleyball team.
Senior Charlie Steffen is the last returning journalism student who is the cross country social media team leader. Charlie has three siblings, Lilly, Henry, and Katie who are all older than him and have graduated from Crofton High School. He is the son of Bengie and Darby. Charlie is looking forward to making articles the most during this semester.
Sophomore Knox Hegge is a new journalism student this semester who is on the football social media team. Knox has two brothers, Hunter and Rowdy, who graduated from Crofton High School. Knox is the son of Brooks and Summer. Knox is looking forward to interviewing students and staff the most during this first semester.
Sophomore Arik Fry is new to journalism this semester; he is on the cross country social media team. Arik has two sisters, Eaileigh and Alyvia, who are both younger than him. Arik is the son of Ryan and Ashley Frey. Arik is looking forward to helping at volleyball games most this semester.
Sophomore Fred Dennis is new to journalism this semester, and he is on the cross country social media team. Fred has one sibling, Pamela, who is a senior at Crofton High School. Fred is the son of Erin and Andrew Dennis. Fred is looking forward to writing articles most this semester.
Junior Cole Miller is new to journalism this semester, and he is on the football social media team. Cole has six siblings: Dominic, Whitney, Lukas, Jack, Margo, and Leo. Cole is the son of Mark and Jamie Miller. He is looking forward to hanging out with his friends in journalism the most.
Sophomore Emma Kuchta is also new to journalism this semester. She is on the volleyball social media team. Emma has four siblings: three sisters Hadley, Nora, Macy, and one brother, Dalton. Emma is the daughter of Micheal and Michelle Kuchta. She is looking forward to taking pictures the most in this first semester of journalism.
Sophomore Brynn Hansen is in Journalism I this semester. She is on the volleyball social media team. Brynn has one sibling, Cameron; she is a junior at Crofton High School. Brynn is the daughter of Aaron and Theresa Hansen. She is looking forward to taking pictures at games the most this semester.
Sophomore Peyton Berger is new to journalism this semester, and she is in charge of girls golf. Peyton has two siblings, Brianna and Zach, who are both graduated from Crofton High School. Peyton is the daughter of Linda and Reggie. She is looking forward to taking pictures in journalism this semester.
