Back in 1954, Oli Johnson, his folks, and two sisters moved to the house on 1st Street, right in front of the famous “tree in the middle of the street” – where the curb is still curved to this day.
After graduating from Crofton High School, Oli spent two years in Lincoln then moved to Arizona. After Oli’s mom passed away, and spending 48 years in the Grand Canyon State, Oli moved back to his home on 1st Street in 2018.
Oli’s front porch is loaded with a huge variety of summer plants. When asked how many, Oli doesn’t know – “there’s a lot.” His pride and joy are wintering the geraniums in his basement and bringing them out in the spring to start anew.
Not only does Oli have an array of outdoor plants, his home is adorned with lots of green plants as well. He gives Tim Evans (and his mom) credit for keeping the lawn manicured and trimmed.
