The Crofton 5th and 6th grade football team capped off an incredible season with a victory in the South Dakota Junior Football (SDJRFB) Championship game this past Sunday at the Augustana Stadium in Sioux Falls, defeating Brandon, SD 33 – 8.
These young athletes showcased hard work, teamwork, and determination all season long, earning them the well-deserved title.
Under the leadership of Head Coach, Landon Stender, and assistant coaches Shon Kolterman, Mike Magorian, and Ben Deblauw, the team demonstrated steady improvement week after week.
Their commitment to practice, sportsmanship, and supporting one another both on and off the field set them apart. The championship game capped an impressive season record of 8 – 1, outscoring their opponents 228 – 20 on the season, but more importantly, it reflected the players growth, teamwork, and love for the game.
