An annual meeting of members of the Crofton Lakeview Golf Course, and a grand opening of the new clubhouse will be held on April 15 at 8 p.m.
According to manager Luke DeBlauw, the interior will not be finished by opening, but details about the clubhouse and course will be brought discussed.
As of Tuesday, April 7, construction on the interior was still in progress, but the majority of the exterior had been completed. The course has not yet announced the official opening of the clubhouse according to their Facebook page. Some features include a large wrap around bar and an outdoor patio deck on the north side.
Construction began last fall with the last day for the old clubhouse being Sept. 7, with demolition and new construction beginning on Sept. 10. By November, a lot of the exterior was complete with the open winter making construction progress rapidly according to golf course officials.
Greenskeeper Dan McFarland says that the greens as in good shape, as he was able to water it in February to prevent drought and winterkill during the mild winter.
Crofton Lakeview Golf Course was dedicated in 1989, and is known as one of the most challenging and scenic public courses in the region.
