Open house held for Lakeview Golf Course clubhouse

The public was invited to attend an annual meeting and new clubhouse grand opening at Crofton Lakeview Golf course on Wednesday, April 15.

The new clubhouse was showcased to the public around 30 attended.

Many commented on the event space. The clubhouse has a large, spacious event room with a bar that wraps around and has each hole of the course etched into the bar top, tables and chairs for seating, and a small shop with merchandise.

Lakeview Golf Course Association president, Brian Goeden explained that he has hopes for the clubhouse that it will be more than just a clubhouse, but an event center with hopes to host a New Year’s Eve party come winter time.

Groundskeeper, Dan McFarland had positive reports on the condition of the greens as he was able to keep it watered during the mild winter.

Although there are still a few items that need to be finished at the clubhouse, the outdoor patio with a view overlooking the lake is a feature that adds to the clubhouse on the north side. It can hold picnic tables, chairs, and so much more.

Taking tee times is going to look different for the course in turn of adding the new clubhouse. Goeden said that the course would suggest for golfers to schedule tee times online at a platform they are using at chronogolf.com, where golfers can search for Crofton Lakeview Golf Course. Although they will still be taking tee times over the phone, they would like everyone to preferably schedule their tee times online.

After the meeting adjourned, members of the public took a moment to take in the features of the new clubhouse with excitement brewing for tee time with a brand new feature.
