The Wakefield Trojans and Lady Trojan track team sent a few competitors to the 2023 Norfolk Classic track invitational in Norfolk on Thursday, April 27. The Trojans sent Cade Johnson, running in the 800m and the triple jump and his brother Cael competed in the 300m hurdles. The Lady Trojans sent Jordan Metzler, who participated in both the 100m dash, and the 300m hurdles.
Wakefield also sent a unified squad to the Classic consisting of Kade McWhorter and Jonathan Ibarra who were teamed up with Mason Lamprecht and Jacob Borg.
Individual results for the Trojan boys included:
300m hurdles: 5, Cael Johnson, 41.36
800m run: 2, Cade Johnson, 2:01.64
