2023 Lady Trojan volleyball team

The 2023 Lady Trojan Volleyball team gets its season started this Thursday, August 24th with a dual in Plainview at 7:00 p.m.

Head coach Brittany Eisenmann is looking forward to this season as a chance for the team to prove itself after their performance in the district final last year.  “We are headed into the season realizing that we have some unfinished business to take care of from last year’s district final game. With four returning starters Katie Borg, Alli Brown, Jordan Metzler, Daveigh Munter-McAfee and two additional returning letterwinners Ashlyn Riewer, Isabella Andrade and a roster full of determined underclassman, I have no doubt that our team will be able to be in the same position at the end of season this year” said Eisenmann.
The returning veterans from last year’s successful season will be the key to success in this year’s campaign. “This year our squad is led by a variety of leaders on each team. With 21 participants, we are able to have a full roster for varsity, junior varsity and a reserve team” Eisenmann said.  “Our varsity team starters this year are Jordan Metzler, Daveigh Munter-McAfee, Sierra Kaufman, Isabella Andrade, Alli Brown, Boston Brown, and Katie Borg. We also have players on stand-by, waiting for their chance to help the team out.”
Eisenmann said she was confident in the team being competitive this season “We’ve been watching these girls compete against each other to earn their spots on the court for the past two week, they have been working their tails off making each other better every day. I am eager to watch them compete against opposing teams.”
The Lady Trojans season gets started this Thursday, August 24th with a dual in Plainview starting with the junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. and then the varsity game at 7:00 p.m.  Though the schedule doesn’t see the Lady Trojans hosting a game until September 12th against Howells-Dodge, though all Lady Trojan teams will be playing that night.  “We have many away games to start off our season, but would love the support of those willing to travel” said Eisenmann.  “We are very excited for this upcoming season!”
On August 29 the team travels to Battle Creek, and August 31-September 2 will be a tournament in Wisner and Pender. On September 5 the team travels to Madison to take on the Lady Dragons, and the Wakefield Invite will be held September 7-9, ahead of the team’s first home dual against Howells-Dodge on September 12 during which all of the Lady Trojan teams will see action.
