The Wakefield Trojans fell to the Crofton Warriors in their final game of the season on Friday, Oct. 13 by a score of 54-0.
With the wind howling and the rain coming down, it was clear neither team was going to be able to get much going through the air. This game came down to the better run game, and this time around Crofton got the best of the Trojans.
The Warriors of Crofton were able to get out to a hot start, earning a fumble recovery and scoring 18 points in the first quarter, followed by 28 in the second quarter to essentially put the game on ice by halftime.
Wakefield did a good job of holding down the Warriors offense in the second half, only allowing eight points, but could not find the end zone before time expired, giving Crofton a 54-0 victory over the Trojans.
Wakefield ended the year winless on the season, coming close to victory a couple of times, but never quite getting there.
