Fifty-six Wakefield Community Schools singers traveled to Allen for the 2022 Lewis & Clark Conference Choral concert on Monday, Nov. 8.
Other schools in attendance for the day’s events and the concert were Allen, Emerson-Hubbard, Hartington-Newcastle, Homer, Laurel-Concord-Colerdige, Ponca, Walthill and Winnebago.
The event was under the direction of Claudia Dvorak, Clinician, from Wayne State College where she teaches Applied Voice, Aural Skills and Music Education Methods. Jennifer Lundahl served as the accompanist for the day.
The Wakefield choir was prepared by local instructor Esly Ovando.
The entire group sang a number of selections “Lift Your Voice and Rejoice,” “Song for Unsung Hero,” a medley from “Phantom of the Opera,” and “Sisi Ni Moja” – the Wakefield Honor choir announced last week sang “I Believe.”
