Adryck Stewart, a 6th grader at Plainview Elementary, recently traveled to represent the Plainview Pirates and Nebraska, at the National AAU Middle School Dual Wrestling tournament in Des Moines, Iowa as a member of the “Nebraska Black” team. The team finished in third at the dual tournament, and Stewart wrestled with a 6-2 record, earning All-American Honors.

Spring is now in full bloom, which means that the Plainview Pirates golf team is ready to tee off! The 2021-22 Pirate golf team includes: Camden Dummer, Landon Hansen and Leighton Medina, Ethan Rix, Xander Albin, Derek Rix, Reagan Choat, Harrison Thor and Emma King.

Kenny and Paige Albin of Plainview are parents to a new son, Myles Kenneth, who was born to them on March 18.
He was born at 7:48 a.m., and he weighed 8 lbs., 15 oz., and he was welcomed home by big sisters, Hazel and Ellison.

The Nebraska School Activities Association recently released the Winter 2021-2022 NCPA Academic All-State Award listings for the local school.
Since 2006, this NSAA Award has been presented to recognize students who meet criteria in the academically and in the activity for their school. Each year the NSAA and the NCPA recognize students during Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons who are nominated by their schools for their individual academic excellence, leadership, and significant contributions in their NSAA activity
